CPR and First Aid for Healthcare Providers and for the Community

We provide various programs and trainings for health care providers, including BLS, ACLS, and PALS. We also offer Community Education in CPR and First Aid. Whether you are a school teacher, jobsite safety, or a member of the community interested in learning the life-saving tools to help someone in need, we have the training for you!

With over 20 highly qualified CPR and First Aid instructors, our service area includes Mariposa, Oakhurst, Yosemite, Madera, Merced, and Atwater. Together they teach an average of 1,700 people per year (health care personnel, fire fighters and law enforcement personnel, daycare providers, and community members). We are an authorized Training Center for the American Heart Association.

BLS FOR HEALTHCARE PROVIDERS

The Basic Life Support (BLS) course is updated with the 2020 CPR & ECC Guidelines by the American Heart Association. This course trains participants to promptly recognize the signs of sudden cardiac death, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED. This program reflects science and education from the American Heart Association Guidelines 2020 Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC).

Intended Audience:
The AHA's BLS Course is designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-facility and prehospital settings.

ADVANCED CARDIOVASCULAR LIFE SUPPORT (ACLS)

ACLS is an advanced course that builds on the foundation of lifesaving BLS skills, emphasizing the importance of continuous, high-quality CPR, and high-performance team dynamics.

ACLS is geared towards healthcare professionals who either direct or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest or other cardiovascular emergencies or personnel in emergency response. Upon successful completion of the course, students receive a course completion card, valid for two years. Please contact your employer to ensure that you are selecting the correct course.

PEDIATRIC ADVANCED LIFE SUPPORT (PALS)

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) uses a series of videos and simulated pediatric emergencies to reinforce the important concepts of a systematic approach to pediatric assessment, basic life support, PALS treatment algorithms, effective resuscitation, and team dynamics.

PALS is geared towards healthcare providers who respond to emergencies in infants and children and for personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care and critical care units. Upon successful completion of the course, students receive a course completion card, valid for two years. Please contact your employer to ensure that you are selecting the correct course.
